Hit Makers
DJ Nasty
One
of the most respected Detroit producers around the world. He has recorded
with some of Detroit's heaviest hitters. Even so, DJ Nasty proves without
a doubt that he can hold his own. His discography stems all the way
back to 1996, with releases on Twilight 76, Databass, and even his own
imprint: Motor City Electro Company. With 35 records released to date,
DJ Nasty has sold over 50,000+ records worldwide.
As one of the original Ghettotech producers, Nasty kept his formula
simple from day one: Bass, Beats and Booty. His styles (often imitated,
never duplicated) helped pave the way for this exciting brand of music
called ghettotech.
Songs like "Finger Licking" and "Blow Bubbles"
almost make you wonder what's REALLY happening in his studio -- those
ladies sure sound happy!
If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen... Cuz Nasty serves
his beats hot and proper. Strictly for the ghetto playas, pimps and
hoes -- and those who love to see them shake it!
Aaron Carl
Detroit
native Aaron-Carl takes on the world, with his outlandish brand of electronic
music. Refusing to be forced into any one genre; he writes and
produces many different styles, including House, Electro and R&B...
AC's music career began in 1996, when he signed with Soul City -- a
House label owned by "Mad" Mike Banks (Submerge/UR).
Releasing his first two singles ("Wash It" and "Crucified")
at the same time, Aaron achieved immediate international success.
Quickly making a name for himself in the Underground scene, AC went
on to form his own imprint -- Wallshaker.
Club anthems like "Dance Naked" and "My House" prove
that Aaron-Carl is a true force to be reckoned with -- both songs made
the Billboard Top 40 Dance/Club charts. House may be his main
forte, but AC also finds success in the Electro/Ghettotech scene. "Down"
(where he boldly confesses "I wanna go down on you, if it's the
last thing that I do...") is hailed as one of the biggest records
in its genre. Other honorable mentions include:
Two Detroit Music Award nominations (Best Electronic Artist, Best Electronic
Song)
Three Performers Awards of Detroit nominations (Best Live Vocal - Male,
Entertainer of the Year - Male by Male, Best Sound Operator/DJ)
Outmusic Award nomination (Outsong of the Year) ("Bring it
On")
Featured in URB Magazine's Next 100 (2002)
AC has remixed artists such as Greg Cash, UR and the legendary Manu
DiBango. He has also been remixed by Peter Rauhofer (Club 69),
Doc Martin and Timo Maas; just to name a few... 2004 marks the
8th year of success in his music career, yet Aaron-Carl assures us:
This is only the beginning...
